Analysis, Design and Development of Arduino Based Women Safety Device Using IoT[]

This paper describes about a touch alarming system for women’s safety using GSM. This helps to identify protect and call on resources to help the one out of dangerous situations. Anytime you senses danger, all you had to do, is press on the button of the device. The device consists of an ATmega328 microcontroller, GSM module, GPS modules. The system resembles a normal device which when activated, tracks the place of the women using GPS (Global Positioning System) and sends emergency messages and call using GSM (Global System for Mobile communication), to family member and the police control room. The main advantage of this system is that the user does not require a Smartphone unlike other applications that have been developed earlier. The use of these project components ensures accuracy and makes it reliable. The system provides with all the features which will leave no stone unturned to help the dupe in any kind of emergency situations. In many situations the aid of safety device that will inform the victim's family members may help women feel safer, confident and reduce the chances of harassment. This project provides facility to protect the women’s by providing wireless key GSM module with controller. As the women feels uncertain at that time she can press the button then the GSM modules are started .GSM module will send SMS which contains the latitude and longitude co-ordinates to the numbers such as family members and police station which are already stored in microcontroller memory.

In this paper the existing electrical distribution network of Bajrang (Railway) colony in Jabalpur with specific reference to the Contract, Maximum and Billing Demand in colony substation has been critically studied.

Optimize Machining Parameters in Turning Operation Using Genetic Algorithm and Network Fitting Tool Modeling[]

Turning process is one of complicated operations to control its cutting parameters because it depends upon several conflicting cutting parameters that must be adjusted at the same time accurately. In this research, minimization of cutting temperature, work piece surface roughness and cutting time are achieved. A mild steel material type JIS S45C and a tungsten carbide insert type SPG-422 Grade E30 are used as workpiece and cutting tool materials. The temperature of primary plastic deformation zone which called shearing zone, and secondary deformation zone which called chip slides on the rake face zone are measured. This paper adopts the utilization Genetic Algorithm (GA) to achieve the minimization operation.


In this era, technology has advanced small devices such as laptop, tablet and mobiles. Their productivity has also been in-creased. We know that each device has different screen sizes. Now it has become a challenge for a developer that how to organize a web content and display on screen. In this paper, a comparison of different types of responsive approaches has been presented.

Experiences of ESL Learners on Language Assessment[]

Appropriate language assessment needs to be reassessed in accordance with the needs of the second language learners. This phenome-nological study explored the sentiments of the college students towards departmental examination. Using purposive sampling, the researcher identified the key informants who have undergone the test. The instrument used in data collection was generated through the semi-structured interview. Results revealed that the students encountered difficulties in answering the departmental examination. They elaborated that the departmental examination was difficult, the words being used in the test were unfamiliar, and some of the topics were not discussed in English subjects. There was a manifestation that the structure of departmental examination like the ques-tion is difficult to comprehend because it is situational and confusing. Though test choices are related to one another, it is still confus-ing. Students stressed out that they had a difficulty in comprehending because of limited grammar knowledge. However, informants emphasized that the structure of the sentence is grammatically correct. On the other hand, they had apprehended that the effect of departmental examination in their lives was affecting their grades resulting in low academic performance; thus, motivating them to strive hard in their academic endeavor. Moreover, the school is an open admission which simply means that all students are qualified to enter and take the chosen profession. In this regards, both institution and students should make things possible in order to achieve the set goals of the school.

Improved Kuan Filter and Wavelet Based SAR Image Despeck- ling and Compression[]

Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image compression is very essential in minimizing storage and transmission costs in bandwidth- limited channels. In this paper, we present a SAR image compression approach in which speckle noise removal precedes com- pression. The image compression is improved by first eliminating speckle noise from the image. We start by using the k-nearest neighbour (K-NN) algorithm to improve the Kuan filter. The improved Kuan filter is then used to remove speckle noise from the SAR image. The despeckled image is then compressed with the discrete wavelet transform, followed by further encoding of the wavelet coefficients using the set partitioning in hierarchical trees (SPIHT) scheme with the removal of the slightly complex arith- metic coding scheme to reduce computational time. The objectives of the present research include; removal of speckle noise from SAR image, accomplishing efficient SAR image encoding, and exploring enormous advantages of wavelet transform. From the results obtained the proposed approach favorably compared with the conventional wavelet-SPIHT approach, judging by the val- ues of the performance evaluation metrics obtained.
